Call for volunteers – 1001 Inventions

Dear members,

“1001 Inventions” organisation is seeking volunteers for the primary schools’ event “Journeys from Alchemy to Chemistry”. The event runs on the 25th, 26th, 28th, 29th, 30th of January at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

1001 Invention search a female science explainer with experience in on-stage demonstrations/shows. Attached is the ‘Call’ for this more experienced person.

In addition, we are looking for budding science explainers, who are enthusiastic, engaged, proactive and looking to build their experience. Volunteers will run science demonstrations and hands-on workshops, focused on chemistry and IYPT2019 themes, for primary school students (aged 6-10).

Science explainers could support for only 2-3 days if they can’t commit for the full 5 days. They will be reimbursed EUR80/day and will be expected to work from 8:00am-4:00pm. Please find attached below the ‘Call for Volunteers’ to give you more details.

If you are interested in participating on these activities, please send a short covering letter and CV to Stéphane Berthier on education@1001inventions.com (with copy to bureau.rjscf.idf@societechimiquedefrance.fr ) before the 11th of January !

Yours sincerely,
