Stephane Streiff is director of Solvay’s R&I laboratory in China and Solvay Research Fellow. The E2P2 laboratory is an international joint lab dedicated to eco-innovation and sustainable chemistry. It regroups 8 partners, Solvay, CNRS, Ecole Normale Supérieur de Lyon, Lille and Poitiers Universities, East China Normal University, Fudan University and East China University of Science and Technology. His research concerns the development of new environmentally benign catalytic solutionns and biomass valorization to high value chemicals. After his PhD in Organic Chemistry received at the University of Strasbourg, he moved first to Ruprecht-Karls-Universität University in Heidelberg for a Post Doc in the field of homogeneous catalysis and natural products synthesis then at the atomic Energy Commission in Paris as scientist in the field of the nanotechnology and nano-science. Stephane has more than 15 years’ experience in leading international Research and Innovation projects – as well in Business as in Corporate Research. His experience includes managing both R&I team and R&D projects in specialty chemicals and plastics sector. He holds more than 55 patents and 30 publications. In 2021 he was awarded the title of Talent Ambassador from Nanjing Tech University. He is a member of the French Chemical Society.
